1. What this site actually stores
This website uses browser local storage to remember the decision you make in its privacy banner. Local storage is not a cookie: it remains in your browser and is not automatically attached to every web request. It is covered here because privacy and device-storage rules can apply to both technologies. The supplied site does not set HTTP cookies through its own JavaScript and does not install advertising, analytics or social-media trackers.
The preference contains a version number, your acceptance or rejection choice, a timestamp and a record that optional categories are inactive. It does not contain your name, email address, browsing history or a unique advertising identifier. Its purpose is to prevent the banner from reappearing unnecessarily as you navigate between the site’s pages.
2. Storage and cookie inventory
The following inventory describes the supplied code, not any additional tools a future hosting operator might introduce. All categories are shown so that “not installed” is explicit rather than ambiguous.
| Category | Name / technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | cz_privacy_v1First-party local storage | Remember your privacy choice | 180 days; cleared on the next site check after expiry |
| Analytics | None installed | No visitor measurement | Not applicable |
| Functional | None installed beyond essential consent storage | No embedded maps, saved itineraries or booking widgets | Not applicable |
| Advertising | None installed | No profiling or cross-site advertising | Not applicable |
3. Accept, reject or review
“Accept All” records an acceptance decision but does not activate services that are absent. “Reject Non-Essential” records a rejection decision and keeps the same essential preference storage. In this build, both choices leave analytics and optional functional services inactive. “Preferences” explains each category and lets you save an essential-only choice. There are no misleading switches for tools that are not actually installed.
You can reopen preferences using the footer control on any page. A saved choice lasts for 180 days unless you remove the site’s browser data sooner. If your browser blocks local storage, the site still works, but the banner may reappear after navigation because the choice cannot be persisted. Private-browsing sessions may also discard the decision when the session ends.
4. Browser controls and opt-out instructions
To remove the preference completely, use your browser’s site-data controls, search for curiosityzestory.com and delete its stored data. In Chrome, look under Settings, Privacy and security, and site-data controls. In Firefox, open Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. In Safari on macOS, use Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data. In Microsoft Edge, locate Cookies and site permissions and the controls for viewing or deleting site data. Labels can change between versions.
Deleting cookies alone may not remove local storage in every tool, so select the option that clears website or site data. You may block storage entirely, but preferences will no longer be remembered. This site does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising; no optional tracking is activated regardless of a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
5. External services and future changes
Hotel booking and destination links open external websites. Their cookies are controlled by those providers and are not governed by a preference stored here. The static map illustration makes no external request. If optional services are added later, the inventory, privacy information and consent version must be updated before those tools run. See the Privacy Policy for broader data-handling details.
